Basic requirements for consular services:
Consular services will be rendered based on the following principles:
1. All papers/documents or certificates from Bangladesh based on which consular service will be provided must be authenticated/attested by the Consular Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
2. All papers/documents or certificates from host country or accredited ones based on which consular service will be provided must be authenticated/attested by the respective Foreign Ministries.
3. Person who needs consular service must bring or send the copy of his/her passport to the Embassy for identity confirmation.
Consular Services:
1. Issuance of new Bangladeshi passport/travel Permit
2. Bangladesh Passport renewal
3. Child endorsement, name, profession or address correction
in Bangladesh passport
4. Issuance of certificate explaining abbreviations of first name, last name and family name
5. Processing application for citizenship/dual nationality certificate
6. Attestation of the documents originated in Bangladesh or host
country or accredited ones (Azerbaijan and Bulagaria)
7. Application for renunciation/surrender of Bangladeshi citizenship
8. Transportation of mortal remains of Bangladeshi people from abroad
Special Remarks
BANGLADESH EMBASSY IN ANKARA DOES NOT ACCEPT CONSULAR FEES IN CASH. NECESSARY FEES MUST BE DIPOSITED TO THE ASSIGNED BANK. ORIGINAL DEPOSIT SLIP (DEKONT) SHOULD BE SUBMITTED WITH THE APPLICATION FORM OR REQUEST
